We are sensitive to the privacy and security of the information that you share with us. As part of your interaction with us, we only collect information that we need to successfully process your order, which includes identifying information such as name, email, shipping/billing address, credit card number, and expiration date.
We take the security of your personal information very seriously. When you enter sensitive information such as credit card numbers or other personal information on our registration or order forms, we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and processing.
When shopping on the Internet, limit your online shopping to Internet merchants that have sites equipped with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL prevents unauthorized people from intercepting your data. As you use browsers that support SSL, such as Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer, your transactions are secure. These browsers show a symbol in the status bar, such as a key or lock, when you are on a site that uses SSL. Never enter your credit card information on a website that does not display one of these symbols in the status bar.

All livestock orders will require a “Direct Signature” upon delivery. Packages WILL NOT be left at the delivery address without a direct signature. For deliveries that are signed for by a neighbor, the standard dead on arrival (DOA) policy will be void.
For best results, we suggest having your order shipped to your local FedEx hub, and held for pickup. This prevents livestock orders from extended exposure to harsh conditions in the delivery vehicle. Most packages are available for pick-up by 8:30am local time. Should you choose this option, we require pick-up within 3 hours of arrival of your delivery to qualify for our DOA policy. In order to have your package held at your local FedEx hub, please make a note in the “comments” section during checkout.
If your package is rejected for any reason, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping.

Return & Exchange Policy
At Advanced Aquatic Pets, we are committed to customer satisfaction. If your equipment and/or supplies order arrives damaged, defective or incomplete, a request for return or refund must be made within 7 days of the original date of delivery. If you ordered the wrong item by mistake, or you wish to return an item because you no longer want/need the item, you will be allowed to return item in unused, original condition and you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping as well as a 20% restocking fee.
In the rare occasion you receive DOA livestock, you must notify us with clear pictures within 2 hours of delivery time. For any DOA livestock, we will issue a full credit for the cost of the item, or will send a replacement item of the same variety and comparable size. Shipping costs WILL NOT be refunded or credited due to DOA livestock. If you wish to receive a replacement item, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping.
Carrier delays due to mechanical failures, weather, or acts of God which result in dead loss WILL NOT be covered under our return and exchange policy.
